Why Get Laser Genesis and Anti Aging Treatments

Lasers have become increasingly popular in recent years and are the preferred method for permanent hair removal and treating many skin conditions that age the skin such as signs of aging, sun spots, redness, rosacea, and acne. The 1064 nm Nd:Yag laser heats the connective tissue dermal layer of the skin, leaving the top layer of the epidermis unharmed. The dermis is the second layer of skin below the epidermis and is where collagen and elastin are made. The laser energy and heat stimulate your body to make more collagen and elastin, resulting in plumper skin with fewer fine lines and wrinkles, creating a more firm and even foundation for the epidermis to lay on top of. The heat from the laser can also constrict blood vessels, which helps to minimize redness and rosacea. As an added benefit, it can also help to tighten pores and treat acne and scarring.

What to expect at my Inner Lift or Laser Genesis technique appointment?

We provide a skin consultation and review your health history to ensure you are a good candidate for laser anti aging treatment. The procedure itself is quite comfortable. You should feel a pleasant warmth or mild heat on the treated area. We finish with a beautiful aloe-based cooling and hydrating gel infused with botanicals to calm, soothe and rehydrate the skin. There is no recovery time required for Laser Genesis or Inner Lift treatment. You are able to resume all normal activities immediately after treatment. This includes wearing make-up. You should see noticeable results within 3-4 weeks as the new collagen and skin cells form. Collagen continues to form for 3-6 months after your final treatment.

How Many Sessions Will I Need Before I See Results from Inner Lift or Laser Genesis technique?

Most people need 3-6 sessions 2-4 weeks apart for impactful results. Results will usually be noticed about a month after treatment. Most people find one or two yearly maintenance appointments required because as we age, we lose the collagen we built up with the initial laser treatments.

Are there any risks or side effects of skin rejuvenation?

Laser Genesis/Inner Lift is considered a very low-risk procedure. The most common side effect is redness (pinkness) after treatment, which will typically clear within a few hours.

Who is not a good candidate for laser genesis and Inner Lift Therapy?

You should not have an Inner lift if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; if you have eczema, a rash, a cut, or a wound, you should postpone treatment until the skin is healed.

Do I have to stop using retinol or cortisone cream before my laser treatment?

We advise you to stop using retinol for 3-7 days before treatment as it can make your skin more sensitive to light and prone to hyperpigmentation.

Does Inner Lift or Laser Genesis remove or lighten brown spots or hyperpigmentation?

Some people may notice some lightening of pigmentation; however, this treatment is not designed to treat pigmentation and likely won’t impact it much.
