Vitality Laser Clinic is a private medical aesthetic clinic located in Saanich, B.C. We offer various services, from laser hair removal, laser skin rejuvenation, microneedling, skin bleaching, chemical peels, facials and medical-grade skin care. Vicki has been operating her clinic since 2021 and has treated people for various medical conditions, including Acne, Hidradentitis Suppurativa (HS), Rosacea, Spider Veins, Telangiectasia, Melasma, Seborrheic Keratosis, Skin Tags and Warts. Her most popular treatments are laser hair removal with the Alexandrite and Nd: Yag Lasers; photofacials to remove sun spots, broken capillaries, and antiaging; and microneedling with the SkinPen.

What is Laser Therapy

Vicki Peters is a Registered Dental Hygienist (2010) and a Certified Laser Technician from the Canadian Laser Institute (2021). Vicki’s dental background gives her a solid academic understanding of human anatomy, pathophysiology, microbiology, and chemistry. Her education and professional experience marry nicely with the laser and skin procedures she offers and she participates in ongoing education and conferences to ensure she is up to date with the latest science and technology for her medical aesthetic clinic. She is empowered by making an impact and helping people feel liberated in their bodies. Vicki believes that everyone is beautiful and that inner beauty trumps outer beauty ALWAYS! Vicki is passionate about helping remove the barriers that distract us from seeing our inner beauty. And yes… she’s also always up for some teeth talk!

Laser Therapy Treatments

In my 40’s I went through a very difficult and stressful time and it aged me so quickly. By age 46, I became quite unhappy with my appearance, because each time I looked in the mirror I felt like I looked defeated. It reminded me of the stressful and painful period that aged me so fast. I didn’t seek to look 20 again, but rather to resemble the “me” before life’s challenges put their mark on me. At 48, after starting laser and microneedling treatments, I witnessed both a physical and emotional transformation. As my skin was improving and I started looking like the old me again, I looked and felt happier too. I was bouncing back. No longer did my face serve as a constant reminder of a difficult time, but rather it gradually revealed a happier, healing version of myself. I started facing the world with a smile again, knowing that things were improving and the old me was returning and the new me was prioritizing her own happiness.

I believe our outward appearance often mirrors what’s happening inside, physically and emotionally. For me improving my outward appearance was so empowering. I am now 51 and my skin looks younger, firmer and brighter with fewer wrinkles and tighter pores than it did at 48!

I love that people entrust me to help them become the best version of themselves. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support people to live a life less burdened by their insecurities and more empowered by their confidence. People often leave using words like liberated, thrilled, and radiant! I love being a part of what got them there! Afterall, why wouldn’t you want to love the skin you are in?

Why I Love Working in Medical Aesthetics in Victoria B.C.

I had a young client who was a dancer. She was self-conscious about lifting her arms because people in her class commented on her darkened skin on her underarms. After a few treatments, we lightened the skin tone of her underarms, and she now feels liberated to dance and move freely without hesitation.

People want laser hair removal on their intimate areas, but are often self-conscious about the colour of their skin, or the size and shape of things “down there”. To get the hair dealt with, they have to bear everything they’re self-conscious about, which takes a lot of courage. I often get feedback that they felt like it wasn’t as bad as they thought it would be or that they felt accepted and that their insecurity was normalized. It feels so good to help people feel good in their own skin.

Men often want laser hair removal for their backs, so they are more empowered to go shirtless in the summer or go on a date more confidently. It’s challenging for single men to shave their backs, and they are often embarrassed to ask for support with this job. I find it so rewarding to help people take the steps to build a life they are fulfilled by and feel liberated in.
