Laser Spider Vein Removal Victoria BC

Red Spots & Rosacea Treatment

If you’re noticing fine red lines on your cheeks or nose, little red “dots” that appear out of nowhere, or overall redness that just won’t calm down, you’re not alone. These are common skin concerns, and the good news is that many of them can be treated effectively with a vascular laser. At Vitality Laser Clinic, we use advanced Nd: YAG laser technology to safely target unwanted vessels and red spots — helping your skin look clearer, calmer, and more even.

What We Treat

We can help with a variety of redness-related concerns:

  • Spider veins (telangiectasia): Fine red or purple veins that often show up on the cheeks, chin, nose, or even legs.
  • Broken capillaries: Tiny visible vessels, usually from sun damage, genetics, or skin sensitivity.
  • Cherry angiomas: Small, bright-red “dots” (common with age) that can be quickly treated.
  • Diffuse redness/flushing: Background redness across the face, often related to rosacea or sensitive skin.

Each of these issues has its own cause, but the common thread is visible blood vessels near the surface of the skin. That’s exactly what vascular lasers are designed to treat.

Before and After Acne Treatment

How the Vascular Laser Works

Our Nd: YAG (1064 nm) laser delivers a pulse of light that’s absorbed by the blood inside the vessel. The heat causes the vessel wall to collapse, and over time, your body naturally clears it away. Surrounding skin is left intact. Because this wavelength penetrates deeper than IPL, it’s especially effective for facial vessels and works on all skin types.

  • Results build gradually over 2–8 weeks as vessels fade.
  • Some spots (like cherry angiomas) can disappear after just one treatment.
  • Spider veins and facial capillaries may need a series of sessions.

What to Expect: Sessions & Downtime

  • Most people need 2–4 sessions, spaced 4–8 weeks apart.
  • Mild redness, swelling, or bruising can occur, usually resolving in a few days.
  • Most clients go back to normal activities right away.
  • Results improve gradually as the body clears treated vessels.

For leg veins larger varicose veins are usually better suited for sclerotherapy with a physician. Our laser works best for small, cosmetic spider veins.

Rosacea & Persistent Redness

Rosacea is a chronic condition with flare-ups, triggers, and sometimes bumps or eye involvement. There’s no cure, but treatment can make a big difference in how your skin looks and feels.

What we can do:

  • Treat the visible vessels and diffuse redness.
  • Recommend skincare to support barrier strength and calm sensitivity.
  • Work alongside your family doctor or dermatologist if prescription medication is needed.

Think of laser as one tool in a larger management plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if it’s rosacea or just veins?

Rosacea often includes background redness and flare-ups, while spider veins and angiomas are more localized. We’ll assess during your consult.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on the concern — some red spots vanish after one session, while spider veins often need a series.

What’s the difference between laser, IPL, and sclerotherapy?

  • Laser (Nd: YAG) = best for facial veins, broken capillaries, cherry angiomas
  • IPL = broader light, helps with general redness, but is less precise for vessels
  • Sclerotherapy = injections for larger leg veins (not done at Vitality; we’ll refer you if that’s needed)

Will the veins come back?

Once a vessel is destroyed, it doesn’t come back. But new vessels can form over time due to genetics, lifestyle, or sun exposure. Many people come back for touch-ups as needed.
